About the role
- Prepare and perform actuarial analyses including loss projections, technical reserves calculations for gross and reinsurance layers, and cash flow projections
- Develop and automate reserving and financial reporting processes within the Actuarial Centre of Excellence
- Ensure processes and standards comply with Zurich actuarial policies and guidance as well as applicable regulations
- Coordinate with Finance and Accounting to ensure the adequacy of the balance sheet and profit and loss
- Prepare and communicate the quarterly actuarial reserve report to the Chief Actuary
Requirements
- Completed university degree in mathematics, physics, actuarial science, statistics, or a related field
- Willingness to pursue an actuarial qualification or partly qualified actuary (per local society)
- Data management and strong programming skills (e.g., SAS, VBA, Python, R) are a significant advantage
- Initial experience with reserving methods is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines
- Team player who demonstrates enthusiasm, curiosity, and a positive attitude
- Fluency in Italian and English; German language skills are a strong advantage
