About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own end-to-end operational delivery of AMS benefits programs, including carrier and TPA management, employee experience, compliance, and HRIS data integrity, using AI tools to drive efficiency
- Serve as the primary operational interface to the Benefits COE, Payroll, HRIS, Legal, and People Services to drive alignment and resolve gaps
- Lead the full AMS leave-of-absence lifecycle with LOA vendors, from intake through return-to-work, ensuring compliance and employee experience
- Manage, develop, and retain a team of benefits and leave specialists; set expectations, create development plans, and model AI-native working methods
- Own operational vendor relationships with AMS carriers, brokers, and TPAs; enforce SLAs and drive process automation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies into daily workflows and problem-solving
- 7+ years of benefits and LOA experience
- At least 3 years in a direct people management role
- Deep knowledge of US health and welfare benefits, LOA administration, and applicable regulatory frameworks
- Proven track record of operational improvement and building scalable benefits operations in a maturing function
- Strong systems fluency
- Experience managing TPA and carrier relationships, SLA monitoring, and data integrity accountability
- Preferred: experience in a high-growth, globally distributed technology company
- Preferred: exposure to Canada and LATAM leave and benefits programs within an AMS scope
- Preferred: experience supporting or leading end-to-end open enrollment
