About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Train and motivate new and tenured Territory Managers to meet and exceed segment plans
- Spend 2–3 full days in Territory Managers' territories coaching and counseling development areas
- Assist Territory Managers and Assistant Territory Managers with business plans and developmental initiatives
- Collaborate with Regional Managers to identify and coach areas of opportunity
- Onboard and train new Territory Managers and Assistant Territory Managers
- Train and assist field teams with POAs and marketing and sales initiatives
- Conduct weekly scheduled field visits and provide coaching aligned with objectives
- Implement follow-up to coaching visits and calls
- Provide recommendations aligned with regional business strategies
- Prepare verbal and written follow-up and observation reports
- Assess territories, territory metrics, and performance trends
- Identify and promote best practices
- Help field teams use internal support resources and marketing materials
- Develop tailored training and development strategies for each Territory Manager and Assistant Territory Manager
- Reinforce ZOLL Selling Skills methodology and sales-cycle understanding
- Coach teams on risk stratification and handling physician objections using relevant data
- Create and update presentations and deliver content in Phase I and II classes
- Develop, lead, and manage regional training and development initiatives
- Deliver Integrity Behavioral Styles Training to field sales
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree required
- Two or more years of sales, training, and/or mentoring experience required
- Two or more years of successful sales history required
- Dedicated coaching/training experience required
- Experience calling on physicians in an office or hospital setting required
- Two or more years of clinical-environment experience preferred
- Medical products industry experience preferred
- Clinical knowledge or experience with ECG interpretation and basic cardiac anatomy and physiology preferred
- History of success in sales
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
- Ability to work autonomously and follow company SOPs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, spreadsheets, presentations, email, internet research, and audiovisual equipment
- Good communication and phone skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and manage projects
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information in one-on-one and small-group settings
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common-sense reasoning and make appropriate judgment calls
- Ability to travel 90%; specifically travel 2–3 days per week to Territory Managers' territories
