About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute strategies to maximize sales performance within the assigned geography
  • Meet overall sales objectives and growth-product quotas through demand generation
  • Launch new products and service offerings and generate new equipment leads
  • Demonstrate solution selling capabilities and build relevant technical and veterinary practice knowledge
  • Build and maintain relationships with targeted hospitals and personnel
  • Interact with customers according to Zoetis promotional guidelines
  • Develop and execute territory business plans and resource allocation to maximize ROI
  • Meet field activity expectations, including sales calls and medical education programs
  • Develop and execute account- and veterinarian-level call cycles
  • Collaborate professionally with Zoetis Petcare colleagues while meeting integrity, compliance, communication, administrative, and teamwork expectations
  • Manage assigned expense budgets and use analytics and insights to support decisions and tactical execution

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) required
  • 3–10 years of documented and successful consultative sales experience
  • Success in previous roles creatively finding opportunities or solving problems to drive sales performance
  • Change-agent mindset, continuous learning, and willingness to challenge dominant logic
  • Ability to use analytics and insights to enhance decision-making and tactical execution
  • Follow-through and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage assigned expense budgets
  • Highly focused and results oriented, with ability to identify goals and priorities and resolve issues in initial stages
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a close team environment; self-starter
  • Animal Health experience and knowledge of small animal veterinary medicine
  • Willingness to accept and incorporate feedback
  • Verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and make thoughtful and fair decisions based on relevant information
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to learn Zoetis systems
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work some evenings as required
  • Candidate should live within the territory
  • Must possess or obtain authorization to work in the US for Zoetis; sponsorship is discretionary and must be disclosed if required
