About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Customer support & on-site assistance: Advising on the use of diagnostic devices and the interpretation of findings/laboratory parameters, installation/commissioning, ensuring functionality, and providing training and refresher instruction to practice/clinic staff.
  • Handling ad-hoc technical inquiries and supporting animal-owner–specific recommendations; executing technical/scientific campaigns and supporting key opinion leaders.
  • Training & knowledge transfer: Conducting in-clinic seminars, moderating round tables, and participating in animal-owner events.
  • Providing clinical/scientific information (including literature research) as well as handling inquiries/complaints and resolving veterinary medical objections.
  • Territory management & sales: Strategic territory and customer development through regular visits, selling diagnostic devices and consumables, including identifying new sales opportunities.
  • Revenue responsibility with monitoring, potential analyses, action plans, visit documentation, order and complaint processing, and acquisition of new customers.
  • Market & internal collaboration: Market and competitor monitoring, deriving relevant insights, and supporting field colleagues with laboratory diagnostic questions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine (licensure) or a comparable scientific degree
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in clinical practice and/or industry; ideally in laboratory medicine and/or internal veterinary medicine; sales experience in the animal health market is an advantage
  • German at native level and fluent English
  • Proficient in MS Office; strong technical understanding of laboratory equipment as well as software connectivity/integrations
  • Strong customer orientation, excellent communication and sales skills
  • High level of personal responsibility and willingness to learn; able to explain complex topics clearly and transfer knowledge
  • Negotiation skills, team player, and professional demeanor
  • Mobility: valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (including approximately 1 overnight stay per week)
