About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Business partnering with the Operations team to support monthly reporting and commercial activities.
  • Taking ownership of inventory and cost of sales month end processes, and assisting with other areas where required.
  • Taking ownership of specific month-end reporting cycles, including journal entries and variance analysis for assigned departments.
  • Helping maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring key accounts are well understood and documented
  • Preparing reconciliations and gathering support for year-end audit queries
  • Acting as the internal point of contact for tax compliance, gathering data for external advisors, and maintaining oversight of VAT and US Sales Tax automations.
  • Supporting the preparation of reporting packs for internal stakeholders
  • Assisting during the year-end audit process, including responding to auditor queries and preparing supporting documentation
  • Working collaboratively across teams to gather financial data and improve reporting accuracy
  • Supporting ad hoc commercial initiatives at ZOE

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Have around 2–4 years of experience in a finance or accounting role (e.g. Assistant Management Accountant, Finance Analyst, or similar)
  • Are part-qualified (or studying towards) CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent
  • Have a strong understanding of management accounting and financial reporting principles
  • Have had previous experience supporting a year-end close and audit process
  • Are comfortable working in a fast-paced or growing business environment
  • Have strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Are organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Have excellent Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, lookups) and are comfortable working with warehoused data and dashboards.
  • Are keen to learn and develop, with an interest in improving processes and systems
  • Have strong communication skills and are confident working with different teams
  • Are a collaborative team player with a positive attitude
