About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Achieve assigned revenue, market share, and sales production goals for one or more hotel properties through strategic prospecting, account management, and business development.
  • Develop and execute proactive sales strategies to identify, solicit, and secure new business within assigned market segments, including corporate, group, catering, and business transient accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to maximize account production, increase repeat business, and identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, hotel site tours, and networking activities to generate qualified leads and close new business.
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts, proposals, and rate agreements while ensuring compliance with company policies and brand standards.
  • Maintain accurate and timely account information, sales activities, and pipeline management within Delphi.fdc/Amadeus CRM.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of each property's operations, competitive positioning, revenue strategies, and brand initiatives to effectively represent the hotels in the marketplace.
  • Monitor account performance, analyze production trends, and adjust sales strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Respond to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) timely and effectively utilize brand sales platforms and tools to secure new opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with Revenue Management, Operations, and the Regional Director of Sales to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Sell and coordinate meeting and event space, including detailing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for properties with meeting facilities to ensure successful event execution.
  • Assist in the development and execution of annual Sales & Marketing Plans, market action plans, and promotional initiatives.
  • Maintain awareness of local market conditions, competitor activities, and industry trends to identify opportunities and respond to changing business demands.
  • Participate in all required sales meetings, training sessions, forecasting activities, and management meetings while maintaining departmental standards and operating within the approved sales expense budget.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects assigned to support the overall success of the sales team and hotel portfolio.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of hotel sales experience required; multi-property or branded hotel experience preferred.
  • Experience selling Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, Wyndham, Choice, Best Western, or other branded hotel products is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in developing new business, growing existing accounts, and consistently achieving sales and revenue goals.
  • Working knowledge of hotel sales, revenue management principles, market segmentation, and distribution channels.
  • Experience using Delphi.fdc/Amadeus CRM, brand sales systems, and Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, influence decision-makers, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented professional with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative sales team.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel regularly between assigned hotels, client locations, and industry events.
