About the role

Work on a variety of client projects as a full-time employee of Zirous (length of projects and client industries will vary)
Research and development of applications to support client projects
Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation
Work closely with Project Managers to ensure successful project implementation
Provide expert and specialized hands-on technical support, consultation and coaching to clients
Work independently on individual tasks and collaboratively as part of project teams
Participate in knowledge-sharing and professional development activities (Lunch and Learns, certifications)
Other duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Human Computer Interaction, Information Systems, or in a related field or equivalent work experience
Sound fundamentals of object-oriented programming
Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex technological concepts to fellow developers and translate for non-technical individuals
1 - 5 years of experience with any of the following technologies: Java; Javascript; Python; Oracle APEX; C; C#; R; SAS; Git; PHP; React; Angular; HTML; CSS; MS SQL Server; SQL; PL/SQL; Unity; VBA
Ability to work onsite in West Des Moines, IA on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (local candidates within the Des Moines, IA metro given priority)
Willingness to learn and be trained on technologies not yet known
