About the role

  • Work on a variety of client projects as a full-time employee of Zirous (length of projects and client industries will vary)
  • Research and development of applications to support client projects
  • Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation
  • Work closely with Project Managers to ensure successful project implementation
  • Provide expert and specialized hands-on technical support, consultation and coaching to clients
  • Work independently on individual tasks and collaboratively as part of project teams
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing and professional development activities (Lunch and Learns, certifications)
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Human Computer Interaction, Information Systems, or in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Sound fundamentals of object-oriented programming
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex technological concepts to fellow developers and translate for non-technical individuals
  • 1 - 5 years of experience with any of the following technologies: Java; Javascript; Python; Oracle APEX; C; C#; R; SAS; Git; PHP; React; Angular; HTML; CSS; MS SQL Server; SQL; PL/SQL; Unity; VBA
  • Ability to work onsite in West Des Moines, IA on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (local candidates within the Des Moines, IA metro given priority)
  • Willingness to learn and be trained on technologies not yet known
