About the role
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing processes.
- Conduct functional, regression, performance, and usability testing to identify defects and ensure compliance with requirements.
- Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability.
- Utilize test automation tools and frameworks to create efficient test scripts and improve overall testing processes.
- Document and report testing results, defects, and issues to the relevant team members, ensuring timely resolution of identified problems.
- Participate in reviews of requirements and specifications to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Continuously improve testing methodologies, tools, and practices to enhance the quality assurance process.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in quality assurance and testing, preferably in a software development environment.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# for automation purposes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with performance testing and security testing.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Certification in quality assurance (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
