About the role
- Conduct IT audits and assessments for various clients and industries, focusing on operational processes, information security, systems integrity, and regulatory compliance.
- Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of IT controls, identifying gaps and providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that technology and business processes align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare detailed audit reports that clearly articulate findings, risks, and recommendations, and present them to stakeholders.
- Stay updated on the latest IT audit standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and enhance audit methodologies.
- Mentor junior auditors and provide training to support professional development within the team.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights on emerging technologies, risks, and trends affecting the IT landscape.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree or certification (CISA, CISSP, CPA) is preferred.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in IT audit, risk management, or related fields, preferably within consulting or professional services.
- Strong knowledge of IT controls, compliance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ISO 27001), and risk assessment methodologies.
- Proven ability to conduct audits independently and effectively communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with auditing tools and software is a plus.
