About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the end-to-end payments experience: scheduling, tracking, and the failure and retry states where trust in money movement is won or lost.
- Shape product direction: frame the problem, write the brief when there isn't one, and drive decisions with evidence alongside engineering.
- Partner closely with engineers, and with PM and go-to-market stakeholders across P2P, to brainstorm, define, and implement new features and offerings.
- Design the experience layer of new payment rails as direct bank integrations and new providers come online, including how customers migrate without fear.
- Run your own research: get in front of customers through our SE, CS, and Sales partners, and test your work with the finance teams who move real money through these flows.
- Participate in regular design reviews with the broader design team.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience designing complex B2B or workflow products; payments or fintech experience is a strong plus.
- Experience shipping at least one full product or significant feature end to end as the lead designer.
- Experience driving product decisions in ambiguous territory: you can frame a problem, align partners, and move without waiting for a spec.
- Experience running your own research: finding the right customers, asking the right questions, and turning what you hear into design decisions.
- Experience iterating closely with engineers on both UX and visual design to get the details just right.
- A point of view: you can defend design decisions with PMs and engineers, and change your mind when the evidence says you should.
- Fluency in Figma and prototyping tools.
- Understanding of the technical constraints of building web applications.
