💰 $130,000 - $150,000 per year
About the role
- Design and Build AP AI Agents: Collaborate with customers to understand their AP and P2P workflows and configure agents that handle invoice intake, GL coding, three-way matching, exception routing, and payment approvals.
- Own End-to-End Implementation: Lead onboarding and deployment of AP-focused agents, scoping requirements, configuring workflows, and ensuring successful launches.
- AP Strategy Partner: Advise AP, finance, and procurement teams on best practices to scale their operations through automation while maintaining compliance and control.
- Product Feedback and Roadmap Influence: Provide structured feedback to product and engineering to inform agent capabilities related to invoice processing, matching logic, and payment workflows.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Coordinate across customer success, sales, engineering, and finance leadership to drive measurable impact for enterprise customers.
- Advance AP Agent Innovation: Bring field insights to help shape Zip's long-term vision for AI-powered AP and P2P workflows.
Requirements
- 3+ years working inside an AP, P2P, or accounting function in an operating role: AP Manager, Controller, Accounting Manager, or equivalent. Advisory exposure does not substitute for having lived it.
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent finance credential preferred. We are looking for practitioners, not generalists.
- Deep understanding of AP processes: PO creation, change orders, invoice coding, three-way matching, contract compliance, credits, and payments.
- 2+ years leading process improvement or transformation engagements in a P2P or finance context, with direct ownership of discovery, recommendation, and delivery.
- You have already built AI agents or automated workflows for your own work. N8N, Zapier, Make, or similar. You can show something live.
- Working knowledge of at least one enterprise ERP (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and one AP or procurement platform (Coupa, Tipalti, Ariba, or similar).
- Understanding of APIs and system integrations, including MCP.
- Excellent communication and change management skills across finance, procurement, and business stakeholders.
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver outcomes quickly in fast-paced environments.
