About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform research and deep-dive analyses on complex healthcare claims data, CMS return files, financial cost, revenue, and vendor data
Work with large and small datasets: join, transform, engineer, and extract meaningful insights
Interpret statistical analyses and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders
Build and automate reports and dashboards using SQL, Excel, Power BI, and similar tools
Partner with Finance, Actuarial, Population Health, IT, and external vendors to support enterprise reporting and analytic initiatives
Document analytic logic, assumptions, and methodology so work is reproducible and auditable
Identify opportunities to improve processes, data quality, and reporting efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or analytical field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics, data analytics, public health, or similar)
Equivalent experience considered
3-5 years of analytical experience (internships, co-ops, or relevant academic)
Working knowledge of healthcare claims structure and data (institutional and professional)
Proficiency in SQL: able to write, test, debug, and document queries against large databases
Experience working with large datasets
Familiarity with methods to measure the impact and effectiveness of programs, policies, or intervention
Strong attention to detail and the ability to validate and QA other team members’ work
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting analytical findings to non-technical audiences
Responsive, proactive, and dependable in supporting internal stakeholders.
Exposure to Medicare or Medicare Advantage populations.
