About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform research and deep-dive analyses on complex healthcare claims data, CMS return files, financial cost, revenue, and vendor data
  • Work with large and small datasets: join, transform, engineer, and extract meaningful insights
  • Interpret statistical analyses and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Build and automate reports and dashboards using SQL, Excel, Power BI, and similar tools
  • Partner with Finance, Actuarial, Population Health, IT, and external vendors to support enterprise reporting and analytic initiatives
  • Document analytic logic, assumptions, and methodology so work is reproducible and auditable
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, data quality, and reporting efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or analytical field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics, data analytics, public health, or similar)
  • Equivalent experience considered
  • 3-5 years of analytical experience (internships, co-ops, or relevant academic)
  • Working knowledge of healthcare claims structure and data (institutional and professional)
  • Proficiency in SQL: able to write, test, debug, and document queries against large databases
  • Experience working with large datasets
  • Familiarity with methods to measure the impact and effectiveness of programs, policies, or intervention
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to validate and QA other team members’ work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting analytical findings to non-technical audiences
  • Responsive, proactive, and dependable in supporting internal stakeholders.
  • Exposure to Medicare or Medicare Advantage populations.
