Legal Assistant – Investigations

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work closely with attorneys and legal staff on investigative matters related to active cases
- Inspect accident scenes, vehicles, and physical evidence
- Locate and interview witnesses
- Conduct background investigations and research
- Prepare detailed investigative reports and scene diagrams
- Document findings accurately and thoroughly
- Utilize technology, online databases, and social media platforms for investigations
- Assist attorneys in gathering and organizing case evidence
- Travel as needed for inspections, interviews, and investigations
- Perform additional investigative functions as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Strong proficiency with technology, internet research, and social media platforms
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and thoroughness
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys and staff
- Previous investigative or claims adjusting experience (preferred)
- Experience working in a law firm or legal environment (preferred)
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
