About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
- Support and evolve EKS-based Kubernetes platforms across multiple environments.
- Manage application delivery through Argo CD and GitOps workflows.
- Work with Helm and Kustomize overlays to deploy and promote platform services.
- Operate and improve core platform components such as:
- - Argo CD
- - External Secrets
- - cert-manager
- - Vault
- - Prometheus/Grafana
- - metrics-server
- Support blockchain platform services including:
- - Hyperledger Besu
- Maintain secure connectivity, IAM roles, ECR-based artifact delivery, ingress, DNS, TLS, and environment-specific configuration.
- Contribute to CI/CD and automation using GitHub Actions and shell scripting.
- Diagnose platform issues across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes workloads, Argo sync state, networking, secrets, and service integrations.
- Help drive safe promotion of changes across release branches
- Collaborate with engineers to keep changes small, reviewable, reproducible, and aligned with GitOps and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Produce runbooks, operational notes, and platform documentation where needed.
- Provision and maintain cloud resources such as:
- - VPCs, subnets, routing, Transit Gateway attachments
- - IAM roles and policies
- - KMS and secrets integrations
- - RDS-backed platform dependencies
- - EKS clusters and supporting access patterns
- Define and manage Kubernetes applications and environment overlays in Git.
- Ensure workloads are deployed using private AWS ECR registries and approved artifact sources.
- Improve reliability, repeatability, and security of deployment pipelines.
- Support release engineering and branch-based promotion controls.
- Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and operational improvement work.
- Validate infrastructure and platform changes before promotion and production rollout.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Commercial experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS.
- Good working knowledge of Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Amazon EKS.
- Experience writing and maintaining Terraform.
- Experience with Helm and Kubernetes manifests.
- Experience with Argo CD or similar GitOps tooling.
- Experience with GitHub Actions or equivalent CI/CD tooling.
- Strong Linux and shell scripting skills.
- Familiarity with:
- - IAM and cloud security practices
- - ingress and TLS management
- - DNS and certificate automation
- - secrets management patterns
- - observability stacks such as Prometheus and Grafana
- Comfortable debugging issues across infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, and deployment pipelines.
- **Desirable Experience**
- Experience with Hyperledger Besu or blockchain infrastructure.
- Experience supporting multi-environment release promotion models.
- Experience working in strongly controlled GitOps environments where all persistent changes flow through PRs.
