About the role

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines to collect, process, and store large volumes of data from diverse sources
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipeline performance to ensure reliability and efficiency
  • Proactively identify opportunities to automate and improve team processes
  • Rapidly learn new business domains and work closely with partners to understand and support evolving data needs
  • Develop and evolve data models that support business use cases and adapt to changing requirements
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Champion engineering best practices by reviewing designs and code, providing constructive feedback, and mentoring team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience building and maintaining data-intensive applications
  • Proven ability to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for large datasets
  • Proficiency with modern data technologies such as Spark and Airflow
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with data modeling
  • Experience deploying, monitoring, and ensuring the reliability of production data systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills across teams and functions
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Databricks, or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
