About the role
- Partner with business lines to understand products and offerings and complete taxability analysis when needed
- Review and maintain tax technology systems and documentation to reflect current products and offerings
- Enable and optimize tax technology functions to support business line growth and new initiatives
- Conduct technical tax research and interpret tax authority guidance
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities, including the use of AI and other technology tools
Requirements
- 3+ years of tax work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, Masters in Tax or CPA preferred
- Advanced Excel skills required; strong modeling and data analytics capability
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to assess tax risk, draw conclusions, and develop clear recommendations
- Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast‑paced, evolving environment while working independently with general guidance
- Effective communicator who can explain complex tax concepts to non‑tax stakeholders and collaborate with external advisors
- Curious, adaptable, and motivated to grow within a tax planning function
- Indirect tax experience, a plus
- Experience with Avalara, a plus.
