About the role
- Prepare Financial Statements, Tax Returns, GST/Business Activity Statements/IAS, Bookkeeping, Company Secretarial and Tax planning
- Complete all steps in workflow process and set/monitor client workflow budgets
- Draft emails for client communication to Manager/Partner/Group Accounting Manager where instructed
- Research technical issues relevant to client engagements
- All client contact to go via an Australian based accountant; role has no direct client contact
- Meet set deadlines agreed in workflow and client planning meetings
- Delegate and assign work to develop junior staff; provide coaching and mentoring to junior Accountants and Bookkeepers
- Meet expected annual chargeable hours (1,664) and raise any work shortfall in workflow meetings
- Ensure each engagement is completed in allocated hours and target 95%+ recovery rate
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of experience in AU Taxation and Accounting
- Thorough understanding of Australian taxation legislation including GST, FBT, CGT, Division 7A
- Strong commercial acumen and technical accounting and analytical skills
- Ability to identify issues and communicate effectively and efficiently
- Experience with MYOB and Xero
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload
- Collaborative team player, ability to build internal relationships
- Ability to meet productivity and turnaround metrics
- Work from home
- Monday to Friday schedule (7am to 4pm / 6am to 3pm Manila time)
