About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory requirements applicable to substances, mixtures, and articles in the markets where the company’s products are placed.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and implement legal changes into company processes and documentation.
  • Ensure product compliance with REACH, CLP, UK REACH, and other applicable chemical regulations.
  • Prepare, update, and review Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product compliance documentation.
  • Manage the classification and labeling of substances and mixtures in accordance with CLP and GHS requirements.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory notifications, including Poison Centre Notifications (PCN), manage Unique Formula Identifier (UFI) codes, and maintain related documentation.
  • Support chemical substance registration activities and assess regulatory obligations related to placing products on new markets.
  • Evaluate product compositions against regulatory requirements and restrictions on hazardous substances.
  • Prepare compliance declarations, respond to customer inquiries, and support audits and inspections related to Product Compliance.
  • Manage material and regulatory data in relevant systems, including IMDS, and support chemical reporting activities.
  • Cooperate with Research & Development, Purchasing, Quality, Sales, suppliers, and customers on regulatory compliance and product stewardship matters.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Product Compliance, Hazard Communication, Safety Data Sheets, or chemical regulatory compliance.
  • University degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Environmental Science, or another relevant scientific discipline.
  • Good knowledge of European and international regulations related to classification, labeling and packaging of chemical substances and mixtures, chemical substance registration, and obligations related to placing products on the market.
  • Experience in preparing and maintaining Safety Data Sheets and product compliance documentation.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting and notifications required by competent authorities.
  • Ability to assess regulatory requirements for products placed on international markets and monitor regulatory changes.
  • Good command of English (minimum B2/C1).
  • Experience with Safety Data Sheet authoring systems and tools would be an advantage.
