About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage and monitor supplier quality performance in line with ZF standards.
Support suppliers through GDPEP phases to ensure readiness for serial production.
Review and approve PPAP submissions according to ZF and customer requirements.
Conduct process and system audits and verify corrective actions.
Lead structured problem-solving (8D, 3x5Why, Ishikawa) for supplier-related issues.
Support new product launches and engineering changes with risk-based quality planning.
Drive continuous improvement actions to enhance supplier capability and reduce defects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project and quality expectations.
Monitor supplier KPIs (PPM, 8D timing, audit performance) and trigger escalations when needed.
Support internal quality functions in customer audits, warranty analysis, and preventive actions.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Materials Engineering/ Industrial Engineering
Experienced in supplier performance evaluation within the scope of VDA 6.3, including the effective use of associated assessment tools and methodologies.
Minimum 8+ Years’ experience in Quality, preferably Supplier Quality Assurance
Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and problem-solving methods.
Experience with ISO9001 or IATF 16949 audit standards.
Familiar with GDPEP or equivalent supplier development processes.
Fluent in English with strong communication and presentation skills.
Proactive, analytical, and collaborative working style with accountability for results.
