About the role

  • Make changes to enhance the machine functionality of the equipment
  • Continuously improve/upgrade equipment using six sigma/lean principles
  • Troubleshoot and solve errors/problems on production equipment
  • Ensure the work environment, equipment and processes are in safe condition and meet or exceed OSHA requirements
  • Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
  • Determine product specifications for the purchase of equipment, materials or parts, according to specifications and quality standards
  • Contact potential suppliers for production equipment and supports the final technical choice
  • Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions
  • Lead projects for existing production and new programs using APQP and Lean principles to meet timing and budget as well as performance
  • Compliance with all Internal and External Production Quality Management Systems and Group Directives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 4 - 8+ years of experience and leading technical projects
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft and CAD software
  • Capable of making sound decisions in a timely manner
  • Excellent communications capabilities with both verbal and written means
  • Good time management and prioritizing skills
  • A working knowledge of statistical methods and SPC charts
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
