About the role
- Support quotation process for potential business
- Coordinate installation and validation of new equipment for new programs or volume increases
- Maintain and improve existing processes and equipment
- Provide troubleshooting support to existing processes and equipment
- Analyze and plan production capacity, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
- Determine product specifications for the purchase of equipment, materials, tooling or parts, according to specifications, quality and ZFPS standards
- Contact potential suppliers for production equipment and makes the final technical choice
- Responsible for the implementation of the equipment on the floor from delivery to hand off to production
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Several years' prior experience in assembly/manufacturing environment, plant layout, cost analyst, budgeting, blueprint reading, pneumatics, hydraulics and PLC programming
- Ability to train other associates in assigned work areas
- Ability to communicate with associates, supervisors, technicians and managers
- May be required to work modified schedule to support customer requirements (i.e.: overtime, vacation coverage, off-shifts, 8 and/or 12-hour schedules, holidays, etc.)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
