About the role

  • Develop qualitative design specifications for components and (sub-)assemblies according to customer requirements, timing, and costs.
  • Use guidelines, tools, and processes, in order to get a complete Product Specification existing of 3D-models, 2D-drawings, and BOM items, and where relevant, the supporting calculation results, assessments, or instructions.
  • Work with the design leader to optimize function, cost, process, and manufacturing.
  • First line support for components machining and/or assembly line.
  • Supply technical support for PIM to analyze the field failures to find the root cause.
  • Ensures correct adherence to the Change Management Process in the applicable systems.
  • Ensures the proper application of local business processes, such as use up, rework, and scrapping of components.
  • Work closely with other departments to provide technical support, such as Purchasing, Supplier quality assurance, production, and aftermarket.
  • Ensures the proper execution of all change activities in the local plant by the local change implementation team.

Requirements

  • Education level: Master's in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent based on experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Powertrain or Driveline Products are preferred.
  • 3D model software skill, Creo is preferred.
  • Has ERP system knowledge.
  • More than 1 year of experience in using ERP systems, with a mechanical product and process understanding, is a plus.
  • Basic Know-how of materials management and supply chain processes.
  • Basic Know-how of manufacturing and quality processes.
  • Act with a Say-Do attitude, results-driven, open to sporadic overtime.
  • Open and honest communication and being cooperative.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin(Listening & spoken and writing).
