About the role

  • Ensuring timely and efficient material supply through procurement, supplier coordination, and inventory optimization to support uninterrupted production and service
  • Procurement of spare parts (components and packed-at-source parts)
  • Ensure availability of spare parts by reviewing the set-up parameters on a regular base (safety stock, safety time, minimum order quantity (MOQ), lead time, economic order quantity (EOQ), etc.)
  • Request delivery plans from the suppliers and align with the internal stakeholders (Customer Order Management and sales)
  • Check delivery confirmations, clarify situations and issue reminders for deliveries if necessary; coordinate shipments in accordance with the suppliers and the nominated forwarders
  • Monitor material receipts and process complaints (e.g., shortages of materials or surplus deliveries)
  • Initiate measures to secure the availability of goods (order book adjustments in accordance with the supplier)
  • Delivery performance measuring and implementation of counter measures if necessary to improve the delivery performance
  • Monitor stock levels and implement measurements to achieve the stock target
  • Report backlog figures on a weekly base

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training and few years professional experience; additional qualifications or a degree in business administration are a plus
  • Proven experience in material planning and procurement processes
  • Excellent IT skills, especially in SAP
  • Advanced Excel and solid general MS Office skills
  • A structured and solution-oriented working style
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, resilience, flexibility, conscientiousness, and a high level of independence
  • Strong English skills, both written and spoken; additional foreign language skills are an advantage.
