About the role
- Developing and implementing labor relations strategies to support business goals
- Acting as the company’s lead negotiator in collective bargaining agreements
- Providing expert guidance on labor law, employment contracts, grievances, and disciplinary actions
- Maintaining and fostering effective relationships with unions, works councils, and employee representatives
- Collaborating with business leaders and HR teams to ensure labor strategies align with broader HR and business objectives
- Monitoring and assessing legislative and regulatory changes impacting labor and employment in Spain
- Overseeing employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations
- Driving employee engagement initiatives that support a positive and productive work environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Law, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in labor relations, employment law, and HR generalist functions, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry
- Proven experience in union negotiations and collective bargaining in Spain
- Strong knowledge of Spanish labor law, employment regulations, and works council interactions
- Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
- Experience working in a multinational environment, managing complex labor issues across different sites
- Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
