About the role

  • Developing and implementing labor relations strategies to support business goals
  • Acting as the company’s lead negotiator in collective bargaining agreements
  • Providing expert guidance on labor law, employment contracts, grievances, and disciplinary actions
  • Maintaining and fostering effective relationships with unions, works councils, and employee representatives
  • Collaborating with business leaders and HR teams to ensure labor strategies align with broader HR and business objectives
  • Monitoring and assessing legislative and regulatory changes impacting labor and employment in Spain
  • Overseeing employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations
  • Driving employee engagement initiatives that support a positive and productive work environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Law, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in labor relations, employment law, and HR generalist functions, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry
  • Proven experience in union negotiations and collective bargaining in Spain
  • Strong knowledge of Spanish labor law, employment regulations, and works council interactions
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
  • Experience working in a multinational environment, managing complex labor issues across different sites
  • Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
