About the role
- Analyze and review production costs, labor, and material expenses
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights on cost-saving opportunities
- Conduct regular reviews of cost accounting procedures and recommend improvements
- Maintain and update the cost accounting system to ensure accuracy in costing data
- Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and financial statements related to inventory and production costs
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing cost data and analysis
- Work closely with operations, procurement, and finance teams to ensure proper cost allocation and efficiency
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and financial regulations
- Audit/perform cycle counts inventory and assist in calculation of inventory valuation and reserves
Requirements
- Advanced 80% English (able to communicate in English via calls and emails)
- Degree in Accounting, Engineering, or Business Administration
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting in the automotive industry in a multi-national manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in accounting and management software (SAP) or similar ERP, as well as advanced Excel skills, preferably PowerBI
- Strong standard cost, inventory management, and cost analysis knowledge
- Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to lead and coordinate activities across different areas
- People Management and focus on customer service
