About the role

  • Define and implement the sales plan for the marine segment in Italy, France, Spain, and Portugal aligned with global objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, shipyards, OEMs, and strategic partners.
  • Manage complex negotiations and high-value commercial agreements with private and public companies.
  • Develop and maintain ZF’s Service Partner & Service Point network to ensure service readiness.
  • Lead the European Centre of Competence to ensure synergy and develop the CoC 2.0 project for EU-wide strategy.
  • Monitor market trends, competition, and growth opportunities; provide insights for strategic decisions.
  • Plan workshop activities and related investments in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee warranty management and represent ZF at major European marine fairs.

Requirements

  • Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marine sales and technical roles
  • Strong strategic skills and market analysis capabilities
  • Proven ability to identify, develop (e.g., hybrid systems), and grow business from scratch
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Fluent in English; other European languages (Italian required, German/Spanish a plus)
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Italy and Europe (up to 70%)
  • Leadership experience with an entrepreneurial mindset; ability to work in a multicultural environment
