About the role
- Make changes to enhance the machine functionality of the equipment
- Continuously improve/upgrade equipment using six sigma/lean principles
- Troubleshoot and solve errors/problems on production equipment
- Ensure the work environment, equipment and processes are in safe condition and meet or exceed OSHA requirements
- Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
- Determines product specifications for the purchase of equipment, materials or parts, according to specifications and quality standards
- Contact potential suppliers for production equipment and supports the final technical choice
- Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions
- Leads projects for existing production and new programs using APQP and Lean principles to meet timing and budget as well as performance
- Compliance with all Internal and External Production Quality Management Systems and Group Directives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 4 - 8+ years of experience and leading technical projects.
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft and CAD software.
- Capable of making sound decisions in a timely manner.
- Excellent communications capabilities with both verbal and written means.
- Good time management and prioritizing skills
- A working knowledge of statistical methods and SPC charts.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
