About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with product and technical teams to refine product positioning and develop high-impact narratives that differentiate ZeroTier in a crowded market.
- Write and optimize copy across all channels, including high-converting website pages, thought leadership articles, sales enablement assets, and technical playbooks.
- Manage and direct a suite of AI writing agents and LLM-based tools to scale content output without sacrificing brand voice or technical accuracy - you are the human-in-the-loop; editing, and governing AI-generated drafts across campaigns, SEO/AEO plays, and enablement assets.
- Tailor messaging for specific ICPs, including IT Directors, CISOs, and network security pros across industries like Defense, Healthcare, and Enterprise IT.
- Contribute to the strategy and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring a consistent and authoritative brand voice across all touchpoints.
- Move beyond simple blogging to develop substantial evergreen assets such as migration guides, configuration templates, and "build vs. buy" whitepapers.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in both product marketing and professional copywriting for cybersecurity and network security products, someone who understands the threat landscape as fluently as they understand the product.
- Deep understanding of networking and security concepts; including VPNs, Zero Trust architecture, SD-WAN, network segmentation, and identity-based access, with the ability to communicate these to technical audiences without oversimplifying.
- Hands-on experience using and directing AI writing tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Jasper, or similar LLM-based workflows) as force multipliers.
- Demonstrable understanding of how to optimize content for both traditional search engines and AI-driven search models.
- A strong instinct for differentiation and the ability to articulate "why ZeroTier" in a way that resonates with both developers and C-suite executives.
- Master of the written word, adhering to a bold, direct, and plainspoken brand voice while maintaining high brand standards.
- Solid experience in enterprise-centric targeting/conversion.
- Excellent cross-functional communication, both written and verbal.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and potentially internationally, if needed.
- Familiarity with the fast-paced, asynchronous environment of a high-growth SaaS company is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of additional languages (ex. Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Japanese, Korean) are also a plus.
