About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own month-end close: bank reconciliations, journal postings, prepayments and accruals, fixed assets, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis
Maintain cost reporting and financial controls, overseeing accounts payable to ensure invoices are coded correctly, approvals are followed, and suppliers are paid on time
Oversee accounts receivable, ensuring invoicing, collections, and cash allocation are accurate and on track
Assisting with Annual audit for the UK entity
Own the accounting inbox and act as a key point of contact for internal and external queries
Own global sales tax compliance and handle international tax issues (withholding, compliance filings, customer tax queries)
Manage UK VAT returns and support UK PSA and P11D reporting
Own Stripe configuration - product catalogue, subscription management, enterprise invoicing workflows, and discrepancy resolution
Support group reporting to our US parent, including intercompany accounting and transfer pricing

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within a SaaS or technology business
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, with hands-on Xero experience
Strong Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate data and build clear, reliable reports
Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
Working knowledge of UK VAT, global sales tax, and international tax concepts (SaaS context preferred)
Comfortable with ambiguity - proactive in finding answers and solving problems
Able to travel to our London hub at least once per quarter
