About the role

  • Lead the design, development, maintenance, and timelines of ongoing metrics, reports, dashboards, and deliverables to support key business decisions.
  • Collaborate with various teams to collect analytical, technical and business requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues and transform vague business ideas into tangible data solutions.
  • Deep dive into large data sets to answer key business questions using SQL, Python, web analytics, cloud services, and BI solutions.
  • Identify business opportunities and leverage technologies to support critical business processes and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Take leadership of projects by prioritizing deliverables, crafting project roadmaps, aligning architecture, ensuring data quality, delegating tasks, supporting full implementation, and presenting results to customers.
  • Implement PoC/PoV/prototypes and scale them into working product solutions in advanced analytics and machine learning/GenAI.
  • Conceptualize and implement data pipelines, advanced analytics, and ML/GenAI solutions in collaboration with Data Engineers and Data Scientists.
  • Continuously evaluate new technologies and tools and develop business models while managing projects.
  • Mentor junior colleagues and guide them in their career development.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of meaningful work experience.
  • Master's or bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of big data or cloud technologies (Hadoop Stack, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong technical experience in advanced analytics (data preparation, applied statistics, data analysis).
  • Solid understanding of data engineering, machine learning, and GenAI solutions.
  • Experience implementing PoC/PoV/prototypes and scaling them into product solutions.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, web analytics (Google Analytics, Webtrends), cloud services (Azure, GCP, AWS), and BI solutions (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker).
  • Strong business insight and experience in business case development.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; comfortable delivering results to customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage project partners through effective expectation management and act as a point of escalation.
  • Ability to define and coordinate work for a team and lead development and implementation end-to-end.
  • Mentoring experience for junior colleagues.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum) and planning/project tools (Jira, Trello, Confluence) is an asset.
