About the role
- Design and build our service from the ground up
- Understand customer needs and translate them into a practical solution
- Collaborate with coworkers to refine UI sketches and data schema
- Contribute to a significant project at a startup
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience at 2-3+ tech-focused companies
- Expert knowledge of React/TypeScript
- Expert knowledge of HTML/CSS
- Solid grasp of UX design fundamentals and the ability to translate an idea into reasonable basic UI
- The more experience with any/all of these, the better:
- - GraphQL
- - Chakra or another UI component toolkit
- - React Native
- - Solid knowledge of HTTP protocol
- - Even more UX design skills than mentioned above
- - Writing GraphQL resolvers on the backend
- - MongoDB
- - AWS Cognito/Lambda/DocumentDB/API Gateway/CloudFormation
- - Writing good technical documentation
- - Working knowledge of managed cloud-service software development, esp. AWS
- - Working knowledge of building software in containerized deployments, with full CI/CD
- - A passion for leading and mentoring engineers
- - A desire to work directly with customers (winemaker customer visits are pretty great)
