About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data
Build and optimize data solutions using Databricks, Apache Spark, and AWS
Develop high-quality, maintainable code using Python and data engineering best practices
Collaborate with product teams and business stakeholders to understand the meaning of the data you are building for
Create and maintain data models, data quality and monitoring processes
Improve performance, reliability, and scalability of existing data infrastructure
Troubleshoot data issues and implement solutions to ensure data accuracy and availability

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience, preferably in the FinTech space
Deep proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and pipeline development
Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale datasets
Hands on experience with efficient use of AI coding platforms to elevate productivity; this role requires more than a vibe coder
Hands on experience developing, and maintaining high performance modern lakehouse architectures
A humble and scrappy get-it-done mindset; you’re resourceful and in your element going from 0 to 1
Excellent problem solving skills - can troubleshoot complex systems
Comfort with ambiguity; the ability to independently lay out and test clear hypotheses and solve problems without well-defined direction
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
