About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, inspire, and manage a high-performing team of enterprise sales professionals, ensuring alignment with company goals and growth targets.
- Develop and execute the sales strategy for acquiring and retaining large-scale enterprise clients in the payments sector.
- Drive the sales pipeline by identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and overseeing complex sales cycles from lead generation to closing.
- Set ambitious sales goals and deliver results.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key enterprise clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction, retention, and growth.
- Act as the primary point of contact for top-tier clients, understanding their payment needs and challenges.
- Stay on top of industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies within the payments and fintech space.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on product development, competitive positioning, and market entry strategies.
- Work closely with other departments, including product, marketing, and operations, to ensure that client needs are met and the company's offerings align with market demand.
- Partner with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and messaging.
- Lead negotiations for enterprise-level contracts and ensure alignment with company goals and profitability standards.
- Successfully close large and complex deals while ensuring long-term client satisfaction.
- Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to track sales team performance and ensure alignment with broader company objectives.
- Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- Mentor and develop the sales team, providing ongoing training and support to drive individual and team success.
- Foster a collaborative, results-driven, and customer-centric sales culture.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 10+ years in enterprise sales, with at least 5 years in the payments or fintech sector.
- Proven track record of closing large deals and leading high-performing sales teams.
- Demonstrated success in leading, coaching, and mentoring sales teams to exceed targets and achieve significant revenue growth.
- Ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve excellence.
- In-depth knowledge of the payments ecosystem, including payment processing, merchant services, card networks, alternative payment methods, and emerging trends in fintech.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder deals in a high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to executive-level clients and stakeholders.
- Data-driven approach to sales management, with the ability to use analytics and insights to optimize sales processes and decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
