About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support a major energy utility client across a portfolio of land and right of way projects
Serve as a primary point of contact between Atwell and the client, owning project delivery from scoping through closeout
Establish project scope, budgets, and schedules; negotiate and execute contracts
Ensure all deliverables meet client expectations
Coordinate property acquisition activities including ROW easements, surface leases, rights of entry, damage settlements, and encroachment agreements
Assemble and direct project teams, manage sub-consultants, track milestones, and troubleshoot issues
Identify growth opportunities within the client relationship and contribute to Atwell's broader market presence in the energy sector
Maintain accurate project records in Vision, manage invoicing and A/R, and report financial performance to leadership
Mentor junior team members

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Land Planning, Land Surveying, or equivalent
4+ years of project management experience in the energy industry, with a focus on property rights and easement acquisition
Hands-on experience supporting electric, gas, or energy utility clients on land and ROW programs
Expertise in land agreements and negotiations — ROW easements, surface leases, encroachment agreements, rights of entry, fee property, and damage settlements
Working knowledge of regulations governing right of way and other property rights
Experience with Vision as a project management tool
AAPL or SR/WA certification is a plus
