About the role

  • Support a major energy utility client across a portfolio of land and right of way projects
  • Serve as a primary point of contact between Atwell and the client, owning project delivery from scoping through closeout
  • Establish project scope, budgets, and schedules; negotiate and execute contracts
  • Ensure all deliverables meet client expectations
  • Coordinate property acquisition activities including ROW easements, surface leases, rights of entry, damage settlements, and encroachment agreements
  • Assemble and direct project teams, manage sub-consultants, track milestones, and troubleshoot issues
  • Identify growth opportunities within the client relationship and contribute to Atwell's broader market presence in the energy sector
  • Maintain accurate project records in Vision, manage invoicing and A/R, and report financial performance to leadership
  • Mentor junior team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Land Planning, Land Surveying, or equivalent
  • 4+ years of project management experience in the energy industry, with a focus on property rights and easement acquisition
  • Hands-on experience supporting electric, gas, or energy utility clients on land and ROW programs
  • Expertise in land agreements and negotiations — ROW easements, surface leases, encroachment agreements, rights of entry, fee property, and damage settlements
  • Working knowledge of regulations governing right of way and other property rights
  • Experience with Vision as a project management tool
  • AAPL or SR/WA certification is a plus
