About the role

  • Define and manage the intake of initiatives into the Technology project portfolio.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, plans, and reports.
  • Define and manage monitoring cadences, providing visibility into all portfolio initiatives as well as potential risks, bottlenecks, and blockers.
  • Make explicit the trade-offs that need to be made (execution capacity vs. prioritization) and demonstrate expected versus actual outcomes.
  • Create financial projections for the portfolio and dashboards that enable monitoring of budgeted vs. actuals.
  • Work with area managers to remove obstacles and create opportunities.
  • Ensure that connections to business objectives are properly established and maintained.
  • Define and disseminate best practices and methodologies for project planning and management.

Requirements

  • Experience managing technology projects from conception through delivery.
  • Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts and project schedules/timelines.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, experience working with multidisciplinary teams, and ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Business analysis skills, including requirements gathering and identification of critical issues.
  • Knowledge of running projects using Agile methodologies — Scrum and Kanban.
  • Experience creating dashboards, KPIs, and performance indicators.
  • Advanced Excel.
