Key responsibilities & impact

Support the development and execution of earned media strategies that align with client objectives
Help clients identify and shape compelling stories that build reputation and engage stakeholders
Build relationships with top-tier media while proactively identifying opportunities to generate meaningful coverage
Prepare and counsel executives for media interactions, interviews and events
Serve as a trusted day-to-day advisor, providing recommendations and navigating media opportunities
Monitor media, industry and cultural trends to identify emerging opportunities and risks
Support and mentor junior team members while contributing to a collaborative environment

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in earned media, media relations, public relations or corporate communications within an agency or fast-paced environment
Proven success building and maintaining relationships with business, trade and top-tier media
Experience securing earned coverage across business, trade, broadcast, print and digital media
Strong understanding of reputation management and today's evolving media landscape
Demonstrated ability to identify newsworthy stories and shape compelling narratives
Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills, with experience developing media materials, presentations and strategic recommendations
Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple projects, priorities and stakeholders
Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
