About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the regional distribution strategy
- Lead and develop an experienced marketing team
- Drive profitable growth across small, middle market and large account segments
- Serve as a broker-facing leader
- Be a key steward of the Zenith brand and value proposition
- Design and execute a strategic regional marketing plan aligned with profitable growth goals
- Build and manage the right mix of broker partners based on geography, opportunity, and capability
- Lead broker prospecting, appointments, terminations, and performance optimization
- Develop deep insight into broker books, sales approaches, and competitive positioning
- Lead large account marketing efforts, including early identification, engagement, and renewal strategy
- Partner closely with our large account underwriting team to meet with prospective policyholders and bring them through our positioning process
- Help brokers and prospective policyholders understand complex risk solutions
- Lead a regional marketing team that consistently delivers high-quality submission flow
- Ensure strong pipeline discipline to achieve growth goals
- Actively engage in key new business opportunities
- Coach teams on influencing outcomes, presenting value, and overcoming barriers to close
- Ensure agencies can clearly articulate the Zenith Difference
- Lead joint presentations, agency training, and next-generation producer engagement
- Partner with internal teams to evolve marketing materials, programs, and positioning
- Coach, develop, and inspire a team of Territory Marketing Managers
- Set clear expectations, create accountability, and foster continuous improvement
- Build strong, collaborative partnerships across underwriting, claims, claims legal, medical management, SIU and Safety & Health.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree required
- Deep understanding of insurance distribution through independent agents and brokers
- Demonstrated success leading both middle market and large account marketing strategies
- Strong working knowledge of risk-sharing and alternative risk products
- Proven ability to influence without authority and build credibility with senior stakeholders
- Track record of delivering measurable growth with underwriting discipline
- Strategic thinker who can execute tactically
- Confident communicator comfortable presenting to executives, brokers, and customers
- Natural leader who attracts, develops, and retains top talent
- Valid Driver’s License
