About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead field auditing, staff training, and client implementation functions within the Client Fund Accounting National Operations team
- Provide daily leadership and supervision to Business Systems Analysts, field auditors, and the implementation manager
- Assign, distribute, and monitor work quality and quantity
- Develop staff through performance management, goal setting, coaching, and employee relations
- Oversee the field audit program and employer payroll audits
- Review audit findings and reports and communicate results to clients and internal stakeholders
- Oversee new-client implementations and existing-client system conversions
- Attend implementation meetings as the CFA subject matter expert and provide programming direction
- Oversee CFA automation initiatives and recommend workflow improvements
- Develop, maintain, distribute, and facilitate training on systems, plan rules, processes, and procedures
- Partner with the CFA Operational Controller and Director to maintain current SOPs and compliance-focused training
- Identify business-process gaps and recommend system or operational improvements
- Support research and resolution of complex contribution, audit, and systems issues
- Review and approve timecards and time-off requests and ensure accurate labor allocations and payroll-processing information
- Maintain communications and working relationships with management, staff, clients, government agencies, unions, participants, attorneys, and consultants
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- Five years of experience in accounting, finance, payroll auditing, or benefits administration
- Two years of experience in a supervisory or management role
- Familiarity with third-party administrator operations and Taft-Hartley provisions and implications
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate with all organizational levels
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office tools and applications
- Ability and willingness to travel as necessary
- Experience in a third-party administrator, insurance, or health and welfare environment preferred
- Prior Taft-Hartley trust administration experience preferred
- Client implementation, system conversion, or process improvement experience preferred
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times
