About the role
- Provides customer service and processes routine health and welfare claims
- Maintains knowledge of assigned Plan(s) and applies that knowledge in claims payments
- Processes routine claims which may include medical, dental, vision, and other types
- Responds to and documents customer inquiries
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of experience as Level 2 Claims Processor
- Intermediate knowledge of benefits claims adjudication principles and procedures
- Medical and/or dental terminology knowledge
- ICD-10 and CPT-4 codes knowledge
- Strong work ethic and team player mentality
- Strong integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction
- Clear and professional communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials and regulations
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts like discounts and percentages
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office tools and applications
