About the role

  • Own and manage spot quotations outbound from USA, Canada and South America
  • Assist the global pricing team with spot quotations for Transatlantic and TP trades
  • Source and negotiate both spot and long term rates with carriers, hauliers and agents
  • Collaborate with operations and procurement teams for seamless transition from quotation to booking
  • Manage and lead bid / tender TP proposals
  • Assist the pricing and procurement team with local charges and routing
  • Work on ongoing projects to develop process improvements and automation tools

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in pricing and procurement
  • Strong understanding of ocean freight LCL and FCL pricing structures
  • Experience with contract management and rate filing processes
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel, including pivot tables and formulas
  • Ability to compare ocean carrier pricing to optimise profit
  • Strong analytical thinking and negotiation skills
