About the role

  • Execute quality assurance testing for client implementations, including validation of system configurations, output files, and client-facing materials (e.g., Explanation of Benefits, letters, payments, ID cards).
  • Perform detailed reviews of outputs across both paper and electronic formats to ensure accuracy, formatting, and compliance with client requirements and Zelis standards.
  • Validate that data is accurately processed, transformed, and displayed across systems and outputs.
  • Partner closely with Implementation Project Managers and Specialists to understand client requirements, test scenarios, and expected outcomes.
  • Identify, document, and track defects or discrepancies, including issues related to data quality, formatting, and integration outputs.
  • Utilize tools such as Jira to log, track, and manage QA tasks, defects, and testing progress.
  • Support validation of file-based integrations and data exchanges (e.g., flat files, XML, or similar formats) by reviewing outputs and ensuring alignment with expected results.
  • Follow established QA processes, test plans, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and quality across implementations.
  • Communicate testing results, issues, and risks clearly to team members and escalate as needed.
  • Prioritize assigned tasks based on implementation timelines, go-live dates, and business priorities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and quality enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, security, and company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with offshore teams to support a consistent QA process and delivery model.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a quality assurance, testing, or validation role, preferably in a technology or operations environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies in data, formatting, and outputs.
  • Ability to follow structured processes and execute test plans in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira or similar systems to manage tasks and track issues.
  • Basic understanding of how data moves between systems, including file-based data exchanges or integrations.
  • Ability to review and validate data outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and clearly document findings.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities across concurrent implementations.
