About the role
- Answer inbound calls from Carriers and Customers daily
- Fulfill requests by accurately updating and documenting shipment statuses in internal systems.
- Contact Carriers for time-sensitive information and update internal systems accordingly.
- Monitor team email queue and promptly respond to requests.
- Communicate issues proactively to ensure quick and effective problem resolution.
- Assist with booking/tendering loads, building loads, and filling operational gaps as needed.
- Follow general and account-specific SOPs to meet client requirements.
- Express eagerness to expand knowledge of the transportation industry and be open to learning new processes.
- Maintain a strong work ethic and positive attitude, adding value to the department
Requirements
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with carriers, internal teams, and customers over the phone and via email.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and logistics procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with McLeod or similar transportation management systems.
- 1-2 years' proven experience working in a US brokerage company in a logistics-related role (Load Coverage, Carrier Sales, etc).
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Flexible, adaptive, and willing to assist across various tasks as needed.
