About the role

  • Support the editorial team as an Editor (m/f/d) in a full-time role (40 hours/week)
  • Conceive and produce various digital magazines in the areas of health, safety and social engagement
  • Oversee three small digital magazines covering research, safety and social engagement
  • Work closely with design, photo editors and project management
  • Prepare topic plans/editorial calendars for the magazines
  • Identify and research suitable interview subjects and experts
  • Organize and manage freelance contributors
  • Perform first editing of content in consultation with the head of copy
  • Write original pieces, some optimized for search engines (SEO)
  • Actively contribute to the further development of products and content strategies

Requirements

  • Journalistic training or a degree in communication and media
  • Several years of experience writing and editing journalistic texts
  • A confident, engaging and audience-focused writing style
  • Ability to present complex content clearly and vividly
  • Experience with various journalistic formats such as interviews and feature reports
  • Experience managing the editorial and organizational aspects of freelance contributors
  • Curiosity, broad general knowledge and a nose for compelling stories
  • Creativity, openness and team spirit
  • Enthusiasm for working in a motivated team in Berlin or Hamburg
