About the role

  • Planning, hosting and production of the news podcast “Was jetzt?”
  • Editorial oversight of episodes.
  • Writing and editing interview texts and scripts.
  • Recording and editing host segments, news bulletins and interviews.
  • Editing episode descriptions for “Was jetzt?” and other podcasts.
  • Hosting special episodes.

Requirements

  • University degree and excellent journalistic training.
  • Experience as a radio journalist and/or podcaster, preferably in news and/or politics.
  • Strong command of writing for spoken language.
  • Passion for news journalism and topic selection.
  • Ideally, a substantive focus on German domestic politics.
  • Good knowledge of audio production, especially editing.
  • Deep understanding of current political, economic, scientific and cultural contexts.
  • Ability to conduct interviews under time pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills, communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Fluent English and/or other foreign languages.
