About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide hands-on service and support at customer locations
- Troubleshoot system issues and determine the best repair or maintenance solution
- Replace components and perform complex repairs on advanced optical systems
- Support customers remotely by phone/email and onsite when needed
- Document service activities and provide feedback to improve quality and service processes
- Help develop and test new service strategies and procedures
- Deliver training and create technical documentation when required
- Serve as the communication bridge between the customer, the local ZEISS team, management, and the factory team in Germany
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex technical systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and engineering documentation
- Semiconductor industry experience is strongly preferred
- Optics industry experience is a plus
- Comfortable working independently in the field and handling customer-facing situations
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting mentality and ability to work under pressure
- Flexible with service schedules and customer support needs
- Comfortable traveling internationally, including training trips to Germany
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
