About the role
- Manage a team of product managers responsible for individual products within the product group
- Support functions and external partners independently, taking comprehensive responsibility for managing interfaces and stakeholders within scope of the product group
- Actively drive the overall REF product roadmap
- Derive product requirements with your team, initiate product development projects according to the ZEISS process landscape
- Work with the project teams across the product lifecycle
- Participate in global market launch activities and ensure successful market performance of the product/solution within the corneal refractive workflow strategy
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in optometry, natural sciences or medicine and / or: Master’s degree in industrial engineering with business studies, Master’s degree in business sciences plus work experience in medical technology
- Extensive years of experience in product management in the field of medical technology or related, with a proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
- Several years of experience in a leadership role, managing cross-functional teams and driving product strategy
- Experience in leading product teams in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Demonstrated success in launching and scaling products in competitive markets
- Deep understanding of product development processes in a medical and regulated environment, including agile methodologies
- Excellent communication skills to articulate product vision and strategy to stakeholders at all levels
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills to develop and grow a high-performing product management team
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support
