About the role
- Lead one of the 'Design Tools' groups with technical and disciplinary responsibility.
- Motivate and develop team members.
- Embody an agile mindset, balancing rapid innovation with sustainable quality.
- Plan, develop, and maintain the required competencies, capacities, and technologies.
- Support the strategic development of the CRT.
- Ensure excellent results within the group and drive the adoption of new technologies and working methods.
- Maintain and expand organization-wide relationships with users of the tool landscape.
- Liaise with external partners and service providers.
Requirements
- Excellent university degree in a technical, mathematical, or scientific discipline; PhD preferred.
- Several years of relevant professional experience in the development of scientific software.
- Experience in coordinating roles or at least lateral leadership responsibilities.
- Knowledge of physics, optics, and/or algorithms is desirable.
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Ideally, experience with agile methodologies.
