About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Generate new business equipment sales and profits in a specific territory
- Commit to an annual sales budget and develop an annual business plan to achieve territory objectives
- Forecast monthly equipment pipeline
- Work effectively within the territory to grow the ZEISS surgical equipment portfolio
- Report activities weekly and communicate ideas, market trends, and competitive activities to management
- Maintain and adhere to applicable GMP and ISO 9001 processes and procedures
- Attain or exceed yearly revenue and profit quotas while managing an expense budget
- Conduct personalized sales demonstrations for surgeons, operating room staff, and administration
- Share leads and manage and develop accounts within a team environment
- Maintain, analyze, and use territory records to organize, plan, execute, and measure results
- Educate and follow up with customers on product operation, utilization, and application
- Provide timely written and oral communications to management regarding sales activity
- Operate a cost center controlling sales, expenses, inventory, and accounts receivable
- Maintain SFDC reports, dashboards, and updates for opportunities, leads, and sales funnel
- Develop synergy opportunities among ZEISS companies, Carl Zeiss Meditec field service, and corporate partners
- Develop creative and profitable marketing approaches for regional demands
- Submit paperwork and requested information completely and promptly
- Maintain updates in SFDC, Concur, Fleet, and CurioZ
Requirements
What you’ll need- Four-year college degree or equivalent
- Five plus (5+) years’ sales experience
- High level of technical/ clinical product knowledge
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheet and database management
- Exceptional negotiating and diplomacy skills
- Develop expertise in product application and practice management implications
- Safely operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid motor vehicle license
