About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete an approximately three-month in-field and classroom training program
  • Travel to customer sites in the region to install, repair, troubleshoot, service, and calibrate advanced measuring instruments
  • Work hands-on with high-tech CMMs using mechanical and electronic aptitude
  • Document service work and maintain accurate service records
  • Work independently while representing ZEISS in a fast-paced, innovative environment
  • Travel 70–90% within the region

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum high school graduate, completed GED or equivalent; alternatively, tech school, associate, or bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or training and experience from a Military Technical School
  • Prior experience working with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment
  • Microsoft operating system knowledge required
  • Capable of independently lifting one article weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Able and willing to work a minimum of 50 hours per work week, including regular hours and overtime
  • Ability to work in an industrial production shop floor environment
  • Valid driver license required
  • Previous experience installing and troubleshooting industrial electronics, machines, or computer systems is a nice to have
  • Previous CMM installation and troubleshooting experience is preferred but not required
