About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete an approximately three-month in-field and classroom training program
- Travel to customer sites in the region to install, repair, troubleshoot, service, and calibrate advanced measuring instruments
- Work hands-on with high-tech CMMs using mechanical and electronic aptitude
- Document service work and maintain accurate service records
- Work independently while representing ZEISS in a fast-paced, innovative environment
- Travel 70–90% within the region
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum high school graduate, completed GED or equivalent; alternatively, tech school, associate, or bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or training and experience from a Military Technical School
- Prior experience working with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment
- Microsoft operating system knowledge required
- Capable of independently lifting one article weighing up to 75 pounds
- Able and willing to work a minimum of 50 hours per work week, including regular hours and overtime
- Ability to work in an industrial production shop floor environment
- Valid driver license required
- Previous experience installing and troubleshooting industrial electronics, machines, or computer systems is a nice to have
- Previous CMM installation and troubleshooting experience is preferred but not required
